About The Pregnancy Center of Dillon County

Brief History

The community of Dillon county realized that women in crisis pregnancies needed a safe place to go for information on their different options going forward.  Out of this desire, The Pregnancy Center of Dillon County was established as a branch of the Hartsville pregnancy center, Carolina Family Planning.  Back then we were known as Carolina Family Planning too.  And Dillon First Baptist Church graciously donated the building, while we paid for the utilities and insurance.  The Board was selected in 2011 and the Center officially opened its doors in 2012.  A few years later, we broke from the Carolina Family Planning and became The Pregnancy Center of Dillon County.
Currently, The Pregnancy Center of Dillon County is actively working with the Ministerial Alliance in Dillon and other community organizations to develop options to break the cycle of repeated unplanned pregnancies in the county.  Building these relationships from all areas of the community strengthens support for these women and babies.
With our 10th year anniversary coming up, we can’t wait to see what the next 10 years will bring.
